Blood Angels Sergeant Cassiel - Dark Heresy Campaign

Hello everyone

I was recently asked if I wanted to join some friends Dark Heresy campaign as a returning NPC, that can help the players out if they get into too much trouble. Naturally, I was up for it and immediately started thinking about painting up a quick mini :-p luckily I had 10 Sternguard Veterans laying around, so I just had to order a few bits off eBay and I was ready to paint my mini.

I haven't painted anything Blood Angels related since I painted a friend's Space Hulk 3 years ago, so it was fun to see how my technique has changed since then.

Anyway, it was a fun little project that lasted a couple of days, looking forward to my first session with the group.

Until next time

Legion Scimitar Pattern Jetbikes - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone

I just finished another project, so time for another blogpost :-D

This time I've painted 6 Scimitar Jetbikes, because my Sons of Horus army really needed some Fast Attack options (and they look amazing!). These have been so much fun to paint, even though painting 24 magnetized heavy weapons were quite boring....

I'm really looking forward to try them out, both as a Fast Attack option and as Heavy Support!

Here's a few more pictures. Hope you like them.

Phobos Land Raider MKIIB - GW/Forgeworld

Hello everyone!

Another project has been finished, this time my army is increased with some much needed transport vehicles, 2 Phobos Land Raider MKIIB.

I've never painted a Land Raider before so it has been quite fun, however in the future I might not paint 2 at the same time :-p It wasn't the easiest set to fit together, the mix of resin and plastic part is always a test to properly assemble, as one is precision made and the another not quite as much, but in the end it turned out ok :-D

Anyway have some pictures!

*Oh and before anyone ask, the tracks are from Extra Armour, gives it an awesome Horus Heresy feel.

My next project is a Cerastus Knight-Castigator, which I'm very much looking forward to!

Until next time

Horus the Warmaster Primarch of the Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone!

Today is a great day for my Sons of Horus army, as they are finally joined by their beloved Primarch, Horus Lupercal. I've been painting on my army for a couple of years now, so it was only fitting that Horus had to be my next project. This model was simply a joy to paint, so rich in detail and such a striking pose. I did have my doubts about the base, but I think I managed to get done in a way that makes it fit in with the rest of the army.

I tried to challenge myself a bit on this model, trying some new techniques and such and overall I'm very happy with the result.

I think it took me about 4 weeks to paint this, so not to bad I think :)

Anyway, have some more pictures! Please feel free to comment either here or on Instagram (@DornsArrow).

Until next time
Chris

Update 15.01.2018
A few people asked if I could take some pictures with a white background, so here you go :)

Ezekyle Abaddon - Wargame Exclusive

Hello everyone!
After reading "The Talon of Horus" by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, I knew I had to paint up an Abaddon mini, sadly Games Workshop most current version just isn't up to scratch, but luckily I had managed to get my hands on one of the first limited edition CHAOS MASTER OF CRUSADE from Wargame Exclusive. I don't think its on sale anymore, so if you would like one, you should probably look on Ebay or maybe write them directly?

This miniature was amazing (except for the sword, which I really didn't like) and just a joy to paint, the sculpt was nearly perfect, with only a minimum of mold lines and all the details came out so crisp. I would highly recommend anyone to check out Wargame Exclusives other miniatures.

Until next time.

Chris
