Sons of Horus - Praetor with Command Squad

I just finished this little project today and I thought I would take some pictures and post them before bedtime....zZzZ its 1:23AM here at the moment :p

Anyway I really wanted to do a proper HQ section for my army so assembled a cool looking Praetor and a 5 man Command Squad to accompany him on the battlefield.

Really hope you like them, feedback is more than welcome, here, FB or Instagram :)
Oh! and before anymore ask, the banner/cloak is not freehanded but rather transfers from Forgeworld :p this has been asked quite a lot during the painting process. The transfer on the banner was a test of patience to do however.

Next up another Quad Mortar (You gotta have 3 right?..right?) and some cool terminators ;)

Until next time

Contemptor Dreadnought - Sons of Horus

Hello everyone!

As promised (However a day late), here's some pictures of the Dreadnought I finished together with my Rapier Quad Mortars :)

It's the Contemptor from the Betrayal at Calth boxset, cut up and magnetized a bit, to try and make it look less static...think its slightly better now :p

Feel free to leave a comment below or on FB, Instagram.

Until next time

Rapier Quad Mortars - Sons of Horus

Hello everyone!

After a little painting break from my Sons of Horus, I'm now back to painting on the 16th Legion. This time around I painted one of my Contemptor Dreadnoughts from one of my Betrayal at Calth boxes and 2 Rapier Quad Mortars (Dreadnought post tomorrow I think).

I just love the look of these things and they are also pretty fun in the game, so fun I actually just ordered a 3rd one from FW....just because :P

Anyway! I think they turned out really nice and looking forward to playing them painted in our next game.

Next project will be a Praetor with a Command Squad, which I'll probably start painting on tomorrow :)

Until next time!

Grog Strongjaw - Critical Role - Geek & Sundry

Hello everyone

I just finished this little passion project yesterday and thought I would share som pictures :) The miniature is from Ares Mythology and it's just amazing.

I've been watching Critical Role almost since the beginning of the Stream and I just knew I wanted to paint something related to the show. Travis Willingham plays the Goliath Barbarian Grog Strongjaw and he's probably my favorite of the crew, so I decided to try and find a figure that would resemble Grog. Luckily Ares Mythology made this cool looking figure and I thought it would serve the purpose excellent.

Anyway, I've never painted a 70mm figure before so this been very difficult for me to paint, but I think it turned out quite well and I've definitely learned a lot. Painting time used I would guess at atleast 100+ hours of painting, but I haven't really kept track :p

Looking forward to paint something smaller next :p
Until next time
