Catulan Reavers - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone!

Its been quite a while since my last post, but this project took a long time to complete...primarily because I really hate batch painting large units :-D but I think the result was worth it.

So I've painted a total of 15 Catulan Reavers, in 3 groups of 5 marines, so I have some options for how I run them, several small units or 1 large unit. As you will see in a later picture I did quite a lot of magnetizing on these, which also helped prolong the painting time.

Anyway enough talk, here are some pictures!

If you want to know how I painted these, check my Black Power Armour guide. The only real difference on these is that I reinforced the shadows with some thinned-down black ink after I was done airbrush highlighting. Then during the final brush highlights, I spent a bit more time glazing in the Pale Grey on the highlights.

Next up Maloghust!

Until next time

Javelin Attack Speeder Squadron - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone

I just finished painting another unit for my Sons of Horus army. This time it's some much needed Fast Attack in the form of some Javelin Speeders. I got them with Lascannons but everything is magnetized, so hopefully, someday I will be able to get my hands on some Missile Launchers for them. I have made 2 sets of arms for the gunners one with Multi Meltas and one with Heavy Bolters.

These were great fun to paint even though it took a long time since my scheme required quite a bit of masking, well over 100 hours used in about 1 month.

Anyway enjoy some pictures :)

Anvillus Pattern Dreadclaw - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone

Its been a while since my last post, but this project took a lot longer than I had originally anticipated.
I'm going to my first every Horus Heresy tournament in a week in Malmø, Sweden, and this had to be finished or else my Weaponmaster Veterans wouldn't have anything to ride around in :-p

If you check out my Instagram you'll be able to see a lot of WIP pictures of the whole painting process, just the masking stages took freaking days. But it did luckily get done in the end after way too many hours of painting.

It's painting in the exact same way as I paint all my Sons of Horus, so if you want to know how I usually go about doing that, check out my tutorials here.

Anyway, enjoy some more pictures :-)

I'm currently working on another small Sons of Horus project and with a little luck, I'll be able to post about that in a few days :-) if you can't wait check out my Instagram.

Until next time.

Legion Scimitar Pattern Jetbikes - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone

I just finished another project, so time for another blogpost :-D

This time I've painted 6 Scimitar Jetbikes, because my Sons of Horus army really needed some Fast Attack options (and they look amazing!). These have been so much fun to paint, even though painting 24 magnetized heavy weapons were quite boring....

I'm really looking forward to try them out, both as a Fast Attack option and as Heavy Support!

Here's a few more pictures. Hope you like them.
