Deathwatch Brother Cassiel - Dark Heresy Campaign

Hello everyone!

I had completely forgotten to upload pictures of this mini project to this blog, mostly use Instagram lately, but I will still try to at least post pictures of my finished projects here.

Anyway like I probably mentioned in my last post, I'm currently playing in a Dark Heresy RPG campaign with a handful of friends and after our previous game I was invited to join the group as a permanent player.

That meant my character had to change a bit for it to make any sense what so ever that I was hanging around helping the Inquisition :-p

So my character is currently serving in the Deathwatch in our current story, which is really cool, but of course I had to paint a new mini! :-D

Blood Angels Sergeant Cassiel - Dark Heresy Campaign

Hello everyone

I was recently asked if I wanted to join some friends Dark Heresy campaign as a returning NPC, that can help the players out if they get into too much trouble. Naturally, I was up for it and immediately started thinking about painting up a quick mini :-p luckily I had 10 Sternguard Veterans laying around, so I just had to order a few bits off eBay and I was ready to paint my mini.

I haven't painted anything Blood Angels related since I painted a friend's Space Hulk 3 years ago, so it was fun to see how my technique has changed since then.

Anyway, it was a fun little project that lasted a couple of days, looking forward to my first session with the group.

Until next time

Legion Scimitar Pattern Jetbikes - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone

I just finished another project, so time for another blogpost :-D

This time I've painted 6 Scimitar Jetbikes, because my Sons of Horus army really needed some Fast Attack options (and they look amazing!). These have been so much fun to paint, even though painting 24 magnetized heavy weapons were quite boring....

I'm really looking forward to try them out, both as a Fast Attack option and as Heavy Support!

Here's a few more pictures. Hope you like them.

Cerastus Knight-Castigator - House Makabius - Forgeworld

Hello everyone!

Got around to finishing the Knight-Castigator, so here's a nice large photo dump :-p
Make the shell casings out of plastic rods in 2mm and 2,5mm then just slabbed on some paint and a wash. Also this is in my mind the best use of the Betrayal at Calth Contemptor Dreadnought ;-)
The base miniatures are painted as Salamanders to annoy one of my good friends who plays them :-p

First Knight done, 2 to go ;-)

Cerastus Knight Castigator - House Makabius - Work in Progress

Hello everyone!

Small progress update today. As some might have seen on my Instagram, I'm currently working on this Knight-Castigator and thought I'd make a small post about it on the blog, since I just "finished" the Knight part of the project.

So far I think I've worked on this model for roughly 2 weeks, never thought I would paint it this fast, but it turns out Knights are really easy to paint, since 80% is just a metal skeleton and everything else is almost so large you can airbrush it :-D I painted it as belonging to House Makabius, because I really liked the colourscheme and also because they were a traitor house and also since Forgeworld makes a very nice transfer sheet for it!
I added quite a lot of Sons of Horus transfers as well, symbolising battle honours and allegiance.

I did make a boo boo when glueing on the carapace armour to the torso, which did ruin it slightly (very slightly but still)....but at this point I just can't be arsed to sand it down and repaint it. Other than that it has been pure joy to paint, even though masking off the armour panels to airbrush the bronze/gold trim did suck, but it was worth it.

Anyway, the Knight is "finished" and I'm currently working on the 2 models which will be placed on the base. Thinking about painting them as Salamanders, since it would annoy one of my good mates :-p  When I get closer to finishing the base I will go back and add some pigments to the knight.

That's it for now, here's a few more pictures :-)
