The Legend of Vox Machina - Critical Role - Steamforged Games

Hello Everyone!
To celebrate the ending of the first season of the Critical Role animated show "The Legend of Vox Machina" I decided to finally paint the remaining two miniatures from my Vox Machina set I got from their Kickstarter some years ago.

I only had Keyleth and Percy left to do, but those were probably also the most challenging of the lot.
Yesterday I stayed up to 4.30am to get Percy finished and some pictures taken, ready to post for the release of the last 3 episodes of the show, and also happened to be at the time of the live stream, so that was quite fortunate.

Overall it was a lot of fun painting these, even though I would have wished for them to be cast in a better material than this soft board game plastic, as it doesn't hold detail too well. But nevertheless, I'm really happy with the result I was able to achieve.

During my painting sessions, I spent a lot of time scouring the internet of other people's versions to get some inspiration on how others had painted certain parts of the miniatures, but I couldn't find too many good pictures of all angles of the model. So I hope the pictures below might be able to help others out in the future :-)

Grog Strongjaw

Keyleth

Percy

Pike Trickfoot

Scnalan Shorthalt

Vax'ildan

Vex'ahlia & Trinket

That's it for today, I'd highly recommend checking out "The Legend of Vox Machina on Amazon Prime if you like Fantasy and/or DnD

Until next time

Rivendell "Battle Company" - Ñoldorin- MESBG - Games Workshop

Mae govannen, mellyrn nin

So I've finished the first part of my little Lord of The Rings project. The bases still need a bit of work, but that will be done soon'ish when the shops here in Denmark open again.
I'm doing this project with a friend of mine and he has also nearly finished painting all his orcs, I really can't wait till we can begin to play. Which reminds me, that I should probably read the rules for the game :-p.

I've already ordered a few more things for this force, but that will have to wait, as I really need to paint some Heresy again now, all this cloth/cloaks has driven me slightly crazy to paint.

Anyway enjoy some more pictures

Until next time
Chris

Gil-Galad & Elrond - MESBG - Games Workshop

So during my Christmas holiday, a friend and I decided to start painting up a Battle Company for Middle Earth: Strategy Battle Game, something we've been talking about doing for years.

Some years ago, when we talked about it initially, I required a lot of elf models from eBay, both high elves and wood elves, but I decided to paint up some High Elves for my first Battle Company.

I actually only needed to paint 5 models, to begin with, but it kinda escalated and now I nearly have a small army. I'm currently working on painting the remaining 9 models for the army, which should bring me to about 22 models or something.

I remember painting quite a few of these models when the game was first released, but sadly I sold everything about 5 years ago, something I kinda regret now...

Anyway here are some pictures of the Heroes I painted up for this force and a little "army" shot.

Can't wait to actually play the game, only tried it once and that was many years ago.

Until next time
Chris

Eikos Lamiad, Tetrarch of Konor and Chaplain - Ultramarines - Games Workshop/Forgeworld

Hello everyone

I just finished a couple of HQ choices for my growing Ultramarine ZM force. This time a Praetor/Champion/Custom Character and a Chaplain. I now have 3 units and 4 characters painted for my Ultramarines, so I really need to paint some more normal units next, probably a Contemptor or some Breachers.

These two characters have both been converted to some extend, Eikos Lamiad which is based on one of the old Masters of the Chapter from Games Workshop has been altered quite a lot.

Anyway enough talk, more pictures!

That's it for now :-)

Until next time
Chris
