Ultramarine Command Squad - Kinstrife Terminators - DivergingRealm

Hello everyone

It has been a little while since I posted anything here. I actually thought I had shared these, but apparently, I hadn't. So better rectify that now.

These models are designed by a mate of mine a few years ago, CAD designed and then cast in resin and quite heavily modified by me. He does a lot of crazy designs and he has only gotten better in the last year, so I'd suggest checking him out! (DivergingRealm).

I began working on these before the new edition hit and I had actually written my own rules for them. But since 2nd edition arrived I haven't gone back to that idea. So I suppose I'll just play them as a Command Squad or something now (haven't played them yet).

Anyway, I'm really happy with how they turned out, even though painting all the gold was a fucking chore :-p. now enjoy some more pictures.

I also finished another project recently and I'll try to post about it soon. As always if you want to follow along with my work, check out my Instagram.

Until next time.

Chris

"Saturnine" Terminators - Sons of Horus - Aus30K (Mk 1 Savage Pattern Tactical Armour)

Hello everyone

The past couple of weeks I've been working on this Terminator Command Squad for my Sons of Horus. The models are from a Kickstarter AUS30K did a year or two ago, The MKI Savage Pattern Terminators. Love them or hate them, I've definitely come to love these hand-sculpted models over the course of painting them. I've made a few conversions on them, primarily weapon swaps and adding a few different items to make them look more like Sons of Horus.

Overall it was a very fun project to build and paint, even though I ended up painting them to a slightly higher standard than I would normally do on "normal" infantry, but I just couldn't help myself.

If these models have piqued your interest, you can actually buy them now in their store.

Anyway, I've basically painted them just like I've described in my old painting guides, just doing a bit more highlighting on the armour panels during the last steps.

Here are a few more pictures, hope you enjoy :)

That's for now, my next project with just be a couple of Critical Role miniatures I really need to get done, but after that I will be adding another unit to my Ultramarine ZM force.

Until next time
Chris

Justaerin Terminators - Sons of Horus - Forgeworld

Hello everyone!

If you follow me on Instagram you'd know that I've been working on these for quite a while now, but yesterday I finally finished them.
I love these models, one of the primary reasons I wanted to play Sons of Horus and they've been a blast to paint, at least most of the time...god I hate batch painting :-p

Can't wait to actually play them!

6 of them have magnetized hands so I can run them with combi-bolters or Combi-Volkite (For the lulz).

Hope you like them

Sons of Horus - Command Squad - Fixed

Hello everyone!

Little update today!

I had to paint up some new weapons for my Command Squad....You might remember that they were armed with Combi-weapons before, but after a little readup on their rules I noticed they can upgrade to Combi-BOLTERS....not weapons.... :P so I decided to paint up some Volkite Chargers for them instead (Which they can take yay).

Not much else to say ^^

Until next time
Chris

Sons of Horus - Praetor with Command Squad

Greetings

I just finished this little project today and I thought I would take some pictures and post them before bedtime....zZzZ its 1:23AM here at the moment :p

Anyway I really wanted to do a proper HQ section for my army so assembled a cool looking Praetor and a 5 man Command Squad to accompany him on the battlefield.

Really hope you like them, feedback is more than welcome, here, FB or Instagram :)
Oh! and before anymore ask, the banner/cloak is not freehanded but rather transfers from Forgeworld :p this has been asked quite a lot during the painting process. The transfer on the banner was a test of patience to do however.
