Hello Everyone!
To celebrate the ending of the first season of the Critical Role animated show
"The Legend of Vox Machina" I decided to finally paint the remaining two
miniatures from my Vox Machina set I got from their Kickstarter some years
ago.I only had Keyleth and Percy left to do, but those were probably also the most challenging of the lot.
Yesterday I stayed up to 4.30am to get Percy finished and some pictures taken, ready to post for the release of the last 3 episodes of the show, and also happened to be at the time of the live stream, so that was quite fortunate.
Overall it was a lot of fun painting these, even though I would have wished for them to be cast in a better material than this soft board game plastic, as it doesn't hold detail too well. But nevertheless, I'm really happy with the result I was able to achieve.
During my painting sessions, I spent a lot of time scouring the internet of other people's versions to get some inspiration on how others had painted certain parts of the miniatures, but I couldn't find too many good pictures of all angles of the model. So I hope the pictures below might be able to help others out in the future :-)
Grog Strongjaw
Keyleth
Percy
Pike Trickfoot
Scnalan Shorthalt
Vax'ildan
Vex'ahlia & Trinket
Until next time
Chris
